Default Stats at Buildout

Earlier this month someone posted a lot of stats (number of homes, people, golf courses, etc.) at build out. I cannot find it. If someone could post the link, I would appreciate it. Also, if the author could post the source of the information, that would be great.

TIA,

John

If this is what you are referring to I posted the below in what was titled Brownwood and the future. My information came from a section that was included in The Villages Daily Sun. This section was written by H. Gary Morse over a year ago. For those who may not know who H. Gary Morse is he is Chief Executive of The Villages. This section of the paper was titled Yesterday, Today and Tomarrow! I took the numbers from supplement to the paper. I wondered why no one asked where my information came from. Below is what I put in the previous post.

The Villages at completion will have
47 Golf Courses - 621 Holes
35 Executive Courses - 315 Holes
12 Championship - 306 Holes
91 Recreation Centers
59 Neighborhood R/C
21 Village Centers
9 Regional Centers
61 Postal Facilities
69 Pools
84 Miles of Transportation Trails

56,000 Homes
will cover 25,000 Acres
Disney World has 27,000 Acres

At this time there are 24 Executive courses. There are 3 more to be built North of 466A their names are Tarpon Boil, Red Fish Run, and Amberjack. I have been told that one is underconstruction at this time but I have not been able to see the construction yet.

That leaves 8 Executive Courses and 3 Championship Courses for South of 466A. At this time I don't know how many homes are in The Villages but my guess is around 37,000 (if I am high just wait a couple of days) so that leaves around 19,000 to be built.

Is there a best guess estimate as to when The Villages will finally be built-out and completed?

John, I found this info at the Daily Sun website today: http://www.thevillagesdailysun.com/s..._Rate_Card.pdf

Page 2 "By the Numbers" says that by 2012 the number of residents will be 102,119. Just think about that! One more person and the projected population will be 102,120 in 2012. Concidence? ... ??? ;D

With 19,000 houses left to be built at the current daily sales rate of 7.5 houses means 7 years until all are sold = summer 2015.

Default But Unlike Communities That Are A Quarter Our Size...

...we have NO POST OFFICE!

It's well known that Gary Morse has been one of George Bush's "pioneers". That means he's donated close to $500,000 to various Republican candidates and political funds.

It ain't working, Gary! I recommend saving your money and build our own damn Post Office!

Thanks Villages Kahuna!
We need at least one additional real Post Office, maybe 2.

Ummmmm........ 'scuse me for asking, but.... is that gonna create MORE crowded situations than I've been reading about at the restaurants, pools, ETC. in the winter months ??? That really concerns me.

I would think that as the population increases, so will the restaurants, and related business. We know the pools and golf courses will increase. I personally feel that there are more pluses than minuses to population growth, especially planned growth like this. Where we live in West Chester, Ohio, has turned into a mini-city, compared to the few developments in a farm community that it was 30 years ago. With the frowth came a lot of places to shop and eat and wonderful schools. The traffic is bad now, but I choose to remember that I can quickly get to anything I need in a very short drive.

I spoke with one of the builders reps last month and he said as TV below 466a is developed more restaurants and stores will make 466a look like 466 (by the way this is a good thing). What is crowded is different, depending on where you come from.

A careful read of the supplement by Mr. Morse describes the whole concept behind TV and the associated amenities and stores.

I am confident that there will be more "stuff" for everyone here as the place gets built out. Where else in the US of A today can you see so much commercial building and development catering to the consumer in such a small area. It never ceases to amaze me.

This project it so well thought out it is truly an incredible accomplishment. Many kudos to the Morse's, even though they may be relaxing on their yacht counting their millions. They've earned every penny and made a great place to live for now and the future for those of us lucky enough to be here.

I don't think the restaurants or pools would be more crowded because, as others have mentioned, new facilities will be built along with the new homes. However, traffic may increase on main TV roads. Recently, the villages recently sent me a link with information on their commercial properties. They project significant traffic increases on TV main roads by 2011, particularly CR 466 and Buena Vista Blvd.
