Of all the colored dots, they failed to mention the black dots. Those are on the mailboxes of folks who will retaliate if they try to carry out the red dot intent.

Boss, I knew you'd give us the skinny on dots.
I'm googling itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini.
You know really somebody should start a mailbox sticker business at the squares.

wellllll, at less than a dime a dozen for stickers, maybe sticker shellac would be more profitable.

Our mailstop was stripped of stickers and writing after it started to look like graffiti and included writing with magic markers. Most folks have not objected to the clean look and have found it not too difficult to remember 4 numbers or 2nd row 5th box from the end, etc. Been told we don't own the box so it is not appropriate to deface someone else's property.

Makes me feel badly that someone is doing this and we have no idea why.
Any thoughts?
has it ever occured to you that is why they put numbers on the boxes. In addition, i beleve that defacing the mail boxes is a violation of federal law. I recall that when i paid for and erected a rural mail box, that box had the message embossed that it was the property of the us postal service.

I heard some where that around here a sticker on your mailbox could cost you six months in the local federal prison.
Even with a plea bargain.

I thought that was handled in Post #16 from Indydealmaker.

For what is worth, this thread makes it painfully obvious that a bunch of Villagers need to get a life! With all that is going on in the world today; the very futures of your grandkids at risk and you worry about stickers on a mailbox?? Leave em alone and see a therapist.
