If you look a little deeper into the data you will find that as of May 24 there are still 253 cases reported in Sumter County. The last case reported by a person 60 or older was on May 15.

Additionally I have been monitoring my zip code, 32162, and the last reported case in that zip code was Apr 29.

I rely on facts not generalities.

I didn't know we could find out by zip code. Can you tell me where I can get that information? Thanks.

You have FREEDOM or you wouldn't be able to post such silly unsubstantiated comments. "Brainwashed" LOL, because it's not something you agree with (rightly or wrongly) others that don't agree are "brainwashed?" Maybe those who think others are "brainwashed" are simply LEMMINGS following each other over the cliff? It works both ways.

The State of Florida Health Department webpage "Floridahealth dot com" then go to the Covid dashboard. Several tabs at the bottom of the page and one is cases by zip code. As far as I know there is no page that shows the date of the last case by zip code but I know that date for 32162 because I have been tracking it daily since Mar 16, 2020.

Put on CNN at any time and you will see the number of cases and the number of deaths. Right now, the 5.9 percent of those Infected die. Then consider that any of the persons who have the disease but have not yet died may still die from it within the month or so.

Your math seems to include the total population, most of which have been SMART enough to go to great lengths to avoid the disease. You’re considering the mortality rate.

Then consider that most of the people here are at a much greater risk than the general population.

I agree we should get back to living; but carefully, with masks and social distancing.

I don't think it's an overreaction to Covid-19, which can kill you.

While I may not agree with EdFNJ, I will defend the errors you pointed out.
I use a tablet that seldom has more than 2 bars and often only 1 bar when the weather is less than perfect. I often am surprised when I see my post after I've sent it and realize how often errors end up in it. I proof read and correct, but somehow, my spell checker and/or alternate word selector have made their own changes after I hit the "send" key. Poor connectivity, poor data transfer results in many errors. I've had portions of my post/reply missing. I try to forgive spelling errors and chalk it up to poor data transfer or crazy apps (like Google taking me 1/2 mile down a rocky dirt road to save me going 100 extra yards on the highway).

I was agreeing with the post that said stay home, stay safe, and allow Arnold Palmers to go out of business.
