Hubby was actually able to get Ben and Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk ice cream at Winn Dixie. Yay! I haven't had that in ages since I usually treat myself to ice cream in either Kilwins or Hershey's in Brownwood. It was so weird to actually have a pint of ice cream in our freezer. He got it home still frozen.

So why are we so obsessive about this now?
Think!
We are still to be social distancing and washing our hands frequently. Wearing masks in areas where social distancing is not as easy to maintain is just an added bonus. We are not to be slacking off on the guidelines which have been in place prior to the request that we wear face protection too.

I haven't been to any grocery stores in quite a while and have not seen the one way aisles. My aim is to get in the store and get out as quickly as possible. (I don't mow anyone down so don't worry about that!) One way aisles will be a hindrance to getting in and out quickly. Hope I''m wrong about that.

In theory, but people are generally clueless. Then of course you get the couple just standing in the aisle blocking with their cart while they decide between the 1% and 2% milk.
Before someone says it, NO I AM NOT WAITING.
Yesterday at Sam's Club I went to get something from one of the refrigerators and a woman was just standing in front of talking on her cell phone. When I said "excuse me" her response was "I'll be done in a minute or two". My response of course was "unless you want me 4 inches from your face, you're done NOW. I'm sure the cell reception is just as good 6 feet further down the aisle"

I would have said the same thing to cell phone Sally.

How can people be so clueless and inconsiderate? It baffles me.

Yep, after showing quite a bit of "attitude". She was about 400#, so I didn't want to get sat on.

I was in Publix and saw an arrow in the MIDDLE of the aisle, not on the entrance or exit. That really doesn't help the customer... I haven't been to any other Publix's in the area, just one that I normally won't go into due to 'poor service'

I'll have to check tomorrow morning then. I know Publix doesn't carry Talenti banana caramel fudge swirl, but maybe I can find B&J's coffee toffee crunch. And god forbid anyone down here ever heard of Giffords and the planet might just bust open. What I wouldn't give for their toasted coconut. Le sigh.

That was my response to a previous poster who wants it to be the same way. So for those that want to rush through and those that are willing to help each other trying to occupy the same space will create chaos....it has happened when hurricanes come here and really occurs when nor'easters hit the mid atlantic. The good news is it appears the majority seem to get it.

Ohhhhh but they do! Likely just out of stock. Just finished our 2nd pint last night from a couple weeks ago BOGO at Publix Colony ! I love the little rubber balls on the bottom. Now we have to work on the 2 Caribbean Coconut!

They are "vendor filled" items so the store doesn't order by flavor, it up to the vendor rep guy filling the freezer what they get depending on what's on his truck at the time. PRO TIP: Best selection is the day or 2 BEFORE the BOGO starts. You pay more but get better selection

Not sure I follow but I’ve been here for hurricanes and saw no chaos - crowded but no chaos. Most people, if they brave going to the store, do not want to make an all day project out of it.
