Publix is broadcasting a message of the new policy in the store, but people are NOT paying attention. I pass people going the wrong way and kindly mention the arrows on the floor. The cashiers are constantly reminding people to stay on the taped line. Eventually they will begin to notice (I hope).

So, explain to me how passing someone going in the same direction in the isle is that much safer than passing someone going in the opposite direction?!?!? In theory you should spend less time within their 6’ social distancing space if you pass them going the opposite way.

Right, like people going to follow the signs. People are still walking too close, golfing too close, waiting in line too close. Signs. Are suggestions, just like stops signs, yield signs, and speed limit signs. Always going to be precent that will NEVER follow signs. |

I went to Publix a few days ago. Never noticed the arrows and when I was in line to check out, they made the announcement. All 3 people in line with me agreed we had no idea that it was one way and we all felt like a’holes for not complying. My beef is husbands and wives shopping together and clogging up the aisle. One of you please stay home! Thank god my husband hates shopping It would take me twice as long if he were with me!

What a great idea.
Also wish people would not stand and look and look at items before deciding what to purchase. Have to wait for them to clear that area before I can grab what I came for, My goal in food shopping now is get in and out as quickly as possible. |

Canada has implemented this weeks ago with directional arrows and signs with 6 feet distancing on the floor.

They should hang the arrows in a placard from the ceiling. Most people don’t look at the floor when walking.

Amazing how often one sees people going the wrong way on a one way parking lot lane. Maybe they're the same people who leave their carts in the middle of the store aisle so NOBODY can get by either direction and those who walk in the middle of the parking aisles instead of off to one side. Clueless. SMH

I have not been in a Publix ,Sams or Walmart in 3 weeks. Each time I drove by one of these stores, the parking lot was full so I kept going. On one occasion I did see a Publix worker getting carts in the lot and I stopped him and asked if it was like this everyday. He said it is this busy every day and many of the people are the same every day. Even if they find the paper product they want one day they are back the next day looking for more.I think the only way to control the number of shoppers is to limit them by assigning Mondays to only persons with the last name begging with ABCor D. Tuesday with last name begging with EFGH and so on. This might stop some people from filling their garage with paper products that they don't need. Just my thiught.

There is a really bad contagious sickness going around, and it could kill your 5-year-old daughter if she catches it. Your daughter doesn't need to decide which brand of boxed cereal she'll be eating. If you don't know by now what kind she likes, then just put her up for adoption and be done with it. You also don't need to consult with her on whether or not you'll be buying hotdogs this week. Just assume that you will, and buy them. Leave your kid at home. And if you can't, well your spouse/boyfriend/adult sibling is with you - that person and your daughter can sit in the car, with the adult behind the wheel, car running, AC on. There is ZERO reason for two adults and one kid to be in a supermarket during this pandemic. And if you're an Instacart driver, it means you're doing this multiple times EVERY SINGLE DAY. If your kid gets sick and dies, it'll be 100% entirely your fault. If you think you'll be okay with that, carry on. If not, stop it. |

The ones who come in with kids though - need to stop doing that. |

I was at Publix this am and the directional arrows were announced over the store speaker. I really didn't notice them until I was finished. In the future I will heed to this BUT I did notice that quite a few of employees were not wearing masks. So I really don't see how walking in one direction is as important as employees wearing masks
