Just the shop vac for me. I believe most batteries and plastic get destroyed in hot garage.

How is storing a vacuum cleaner and batteries any different from storing plastic power tools and lawn tools, including the batteries, in the garage? Almost no one would store those items anywhere else.

I guess I’m the ‘almost no one’ in the room. All my lithium batteries are stored in a climate controlled part of my house. Not my garage. Some of my batteries are now 10 years old. And still working.

I am an "almost no one" also. Batteries stored inside the house.

So, do you remove the batteries and store the plastic tools in the garage to get destroyed?

Default Vacuum

Storing my corded house vac in the garage over 15 years no problems. Same for my shop vac also 15 years.
