When someone says you can stretch it, how do you do that exactly? I want to stretch it so it is wider. I was thinking I could just pull the kitchen and nook away from the living and dining area so its outside wall is flush with the golf cart garage wall and that would give me a lot of extra room. Is that something they can do?

If you look at the Lantana floorplan available online (or at the sales office), it indicates the stretch capabilities longer and wider 2 to 4 feet. The extent of your stretch really depends on your lot size. But this must be done during construction. Otherwise, you are looking for an addition.

Where do you find the indicator on the floor plan from The Villages showing you can stretch it wide? I am looking at it and there is nothing on the floor plan online that reflects the capacity to enlarge it. Am I looking in the wrong place?

That is not the way they stretch it. You need to check this with your agent and the design people. Your lot size will determine the stretching available.

That said, to find a lot to stretch a house takes some doing. The lots were platted some time ago and that is etched in granite. That can't be changed. So finding a lot to fit your stretched plans and finding a model that will allow the stretches is key. Since you are looking at one of the largest designers, it might be worth your while to look at some Premier models. Wouldn't hurt. Now is the time to pursue all choices.
