My post didn't come out the way I intended.

I meant the people camping out waiting for Black Friday are
Saying STUFF is more important then spending Thanksgiving
at home with your family? Crazy!

No worries, patfla! Really, I was poking fun at myself for acquiring stuff while spending family time.

Now that the house is decorated, I am SO glad we brought MOST of our Christmas stuff.

The lambs in the nativity scene haven't weathered fifty one years with us too well but all else seems beautiful to me.

I love Christmas.

Gracie, I love Christmas and all the lovely decorations too. Right now, I am trying to decide what comes to Florida and what doesn't. Where do you store your Xmas decorations? My husband doesn't feel they will weather the attic storage. Thank you.

I went shopping last Friday at 3:30 in the morning with 8 other people. We were shopping for gifts and did very well. All kids are done and most adults. We had breakfast and had a great time. There was no chaos or pushing or shoving. We had a ball and yes I bought stuff for me that I had to pack to bring back here. Just because I'm older doesn't mean I shouldn't buy stuff. It's ok to have new things while enjoying some of the older stuff.

A house is just a pile of stuff with a cover on it.

I personally hate to shop and would never be caught dead in these early shopping frenzies but if people like it, what the heck harm does it cause to provide it for them?
