I never want the south side of 466 to ever change.

We live in the best run place in The U.S. but it wouldn't be if the inmates take over the asylum.

That is MY opinion.
Grace, I am with you on this one. This place is very well run and is dang near perfect.

I don't think the North side going down hill at all. IMO We have all the luxuries the south side has except the traffic problems. The south side has no tennis facility with only two tennis courts per Rec Center (you would of thought some 4 courts at couple rec centers would of been nice)(but as usually Golf took priority and the tennis facility got scraped). All the serious tennis players (with knee or back problems has to drive All the way up north to Glenview or Lopez). So this would be like NO Championship golf course in the south and all you golfers would have to drive 11 to 15 miles to play the Finer Courses. So you see the south side not all that for some of us.

GG did not say the North side is going downhill. She said she didn't want South of 466 to change.

and there are plenty of championship golf courses South of 466....as well as tennis.

How spoiled we have become to have to drive "all the way" to any end of TV or another. Is anything any more than 15 minutes away from any where else?

I think the planners have done an excellent job of providing like amenitiies and acceses where ever they build. All the while learning and improving as they go.

GG we have had this discussion before....."again" it is only a matter of time before changes come to the ever glorious south side.....the only reason they haven't come yet is that TV on the S/S is still in a state of limbo because of the ever-going IRS fiasco....I know you don't believe it but do your research .... once that is finally settled all those new Rec Centers and softball fields and other amenities that the developer now owns will be sold back to each individual district....then you will start to look at where all your amenity $$$$ are going.....I for one like having my felllow seniors keeping an eye on the books

I don't think that's correct. The amenities will be sold to LSCDD, just as those north of 466 were sold to VCCDD. I anticipate there will be either a second AAC for south, or a larger combined AAC for the whole shebang.

unless one has participated in a transition from a developer to residents or know the details of the current plans in existence (which will of course model those not transitioned yet)....then it is just emotion speaking with a negative anticipation for no reason.

I will tell you from experience the biggest issue facing TV in it's future is resident representation and good fiscal responsibility with annual budgets. Then there should no ex budget activitites or projects. For example the want of a covered swimming pool. It has to be justified and funded or it does not get done. And the residents who remain silent have the most to loose. There will be many wants and if not handled correctly will only lead to additional assessments on top of the existing amenity fees. The minority usually creates the problem and the majority complains AFTER the costs are passed along to the residents.

There will be no problem maintaining the current lifestyle and all that goes with it including increasing property values.....AS LONG AS THE RESIDENTS REMAIN FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE. We do not have the luxury of the federal government to spend beyond the means available.

I have participated in the good the bad and the ugly of resident ownership of amenities.

A benevolent dictator, aka the developer, is what we should all hope for.

A group run by committees to design a horse usually results in a camel. That is what you are asking for. I've been an HOA president in the past. Believe me - you don't want to go there

Your experience speaks volumes. I've got my hopes on the benevolent dictator also.

I'm hoping for the benevolent dictator approach.
And if that doesn't happen, I'm hoping we can depend on sensible residents like dbussone and BTK to keep our fiscal boat afloat.

Yep Championship tennis with two hard courts per rec. center south of the mason Dixie line. Even some of the rec. center only have 4 pickleball courts.
