What did she do with the lyrics in "HAlf Breed"? I'm pretty sure Cher set back some of the stereotypes with Native Americans with this performance.

I think the gypsy stereotype fits pretty well.

That one does seem fairly accurate. I cannot remember ever meeting any gypsies but probably would not want to all that much. I have met a good number of Native Americans in Reno, Nevada and Minneapolis, MN. Or, people fighting for the rights of Native Americans. I did not meet the father but worked alongside the daughter at Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners at the Stillwater Office at the U of MN Law School. Now in her fifties, our daughter is a pretty nice person. I don't think she heard a lot of negativity about groups of people much...except those who didn't pick up their toys and messed around getting ready for school.

When my friend Lori, a speech and language teacher was a little girl, she asked her dad why there weren't any songs with her name in them. He thought for a second and then sang Lori, Lori Hallelujah................She said it was a long time before she knew the right words.

I appreciate the work that Tal has done in his career. I appreciate every time someone asks him to help find something on the internet and he tries to help. I like the movies he brings up and the 3 word sentences. I learn something from his posts.
It's interesting what makes people laugh.

We didn't survive this long with thin skin. I agree with you that unintentionally instigating is a problem. I forget that sometimes. I'm working on it.

Good for you. I'll work on the intentional part as well.

This is not a career though. It should have been. It is a hobby. That is why it is so interesting to many people. If you Google Taltarzac725 you should be able to get at what I am talking about here. It would make a great movie but it would still go up against the problem of cognitive dissonance. Lawyers and politicians do count sometimes on this.

There probably will be a movie in 2045 or thereabouts. People should be watching movies and TV now though a lot more carefully. Take a close look at Tom Hanks' The Ladykillers Tom Hanks - Rotten Tomatoes. It is from 2004. Or Clint Eastwood's Blood Work from 2002. Blood Work*(2002) - Rotten Tomatoes
