Sumter Landing homes for sale
I didn't realize that they are already selling the houses that are just being built on Old Mill Rd across from the ones where the buffalo used to roam. I thought they were going to start using them for the lifestyle preview.

We rode through there today and lots of people were running around looking at houses. We spoke to a couple who told us there were only 4 left for sale and they were buying one as a rental investment. They were considering two different models, one was $238.000 and another $219,000, unfurnished. The atmosphere was somewhat hectic as people drove around trying to find the address they were given. We toured a couple and some have lake and golf course views but the villas themselves were nothing special. Some have the hotel windows looking down on them which I didn't like at all.

I have to agree with you about some of the hotel windows looking down at you. I wonder if they have to go across the street to use the pool, because I don't see one in the plot plan. A couple of parking areas, but no pool. Don't like that either.

pool comment
I visited friends who stayed in the Creekside Cabana Villas 2 years ago (doesn't even seem like they've been there that long, but time flies, I guess). Anyway, back to the point - I thought the pool there in Creekside (and the one in the Cottages at Lake Sumter also - the ones they used to use for the Lifestyle Preview Program and are still in the process of selling) was smaller than the usual neighborhood pool. Of course, the neighborhood is smaller too, not a complete Village.
Just a comment - per capita, there's probably more cubic feet of water per resident than the typical Villages neighborhood pool. |
