That garbage appeals to kids, many are the same ages as the football players. Where new money will flow into the NFL someday. It's marketing 101.
We hate it because we are old. Same as our parents hated things we liked as kids. The halftime shows will never appeal to us because we do not represent income to the NFL.
Follow the money.

Lots of dancers.
But maybe I could understand 5 or 6 words from all the songs belted out.
Anyone else have that issue??
I haven't seen a good half-time show in more than a few years. They get worse every year and this year was awful.

did not enjoy it at all. Couldn't understand the costumes at all. What were they supposed to be? Not a Rihanna fan anyway, Didn't understand the lyrics but, did like the floating platforms. Utter disappointment from beginning to end. Did not live up to all the hype.

From what I read on Sunday, the average age of an NFL fan is 51. Median age for Sunday viewership was 49. Definitely the wrong demographic for that kind of crap.

Sorry if I offend anyone but they looked like they represented giant sperm swimming to Rihanna while she was holding her crotch????

I was pregnant in my 30's. I was working full time in a print shop. Moving cases of paper, on my feet the entire day. Yes I used disposable diapers. I had my own credit and worked from full time from 21 to retirement/caregiving in my 50s. That changed back in the 1960s and 1970s.

I give the dancers credit for the sync, the song was impossible to hear over the band, and the costumes in general were awful.
Not a football fan - but I used to look forward to the commercials and halftime. Now it has become just something to mute and chat over. The audience is multi-generational how about something coordinated so all generations could find something enjoyable?

Someone at our party remarked that it looked like a singing lobster surrounded by dancing snowmen, like what you might see on Sponge Bob SquarePants.

Agree that this year's halftime show was awful. But, then again, that isn't my kind of entertainment, so I'm obviously biased against it. The good news was the 30 minute break allowed plenty of time to take the dog out, have a bathroom break, and prepare fresh snacks.

On the other hand, Chris Stapleton's pre-game rendition of the national anthem was magnificent.

Sometimes, I think that the most popular artists(?) today would not be given a second notice if they did not have a video of them performing.
Do you noticed the one who do that, not being a being a raciest but most of them are blacks that do that.

I watched the entire halftime show. Well, except for the time I fell asleep. This was because I was counting the number commercials during the game, approx 120. I don't remember the last halftime show I watched. It's amazing what garbage they pass off as entertainment these days.

The game was interesting.
