What a great idea! Aim them at the road! Genius!

They are not properly aimed because the driver's vision is so poor they still wouldn't be able to see if they were properly positioned.

These lights are blinding and should be banned. An accident ready to happen.

I agree the bright LEDs on golf carts are a problem, but as all of us age glare becomes a bigger problem at night. I have always thought that a white line with reflective paint on the shoulders of the cart lanes would be a safe and beneficial addition when bright on coming lights affect your safety, diverting your vision to a reflective edge would make a much safer alternative.

Agreed about LEDs. Blinding, making it such a hazard at night. When I'm stopped at a red light and I have those LEDs blinding me from behind, I turn my mirror to shine the lights back on them. Hopefully they get the feel for what they do to others.

Default Speeding

For all of you mentioning 25-30 MPH.. It was my understanding The Villages Kart speed limit is 20 MPH. Who enforces this?

It’s an automatic function on newer vehicles.

On the other hand, those lights make it so much easier for the cart driver to see. They also make it much easier for cars to see carts at intersections. Nearly all golf cart driving here happens during the daylight hours, so night drivers seldom face oncoming carts—most of the carts on the paths at night are heading home from the town squares. As for the strings of LED lights along the sides, they help so much with visibility that I’d recommend them to anyone buying a new cart as a safety feature.

I’ve complained for decades about SUVs and trucks with headlights that are a foot or more higher than car headlights and blind car drivers. It hasn’t led to a change.

We shut it off on our vehicle because it's not really accurate and more of a hassle than help. It's turned the high beams on with vehicles approaching many times. Then I get high beams flashed back at me.

If there was a way to turn it off, without turning off the regular headlights, we would. If they would have installed the light switch so the first click would turn on regular lights and the second click would turn on that bright light, it would solve the issue. We've tried angling it down so it's not so bright at oncoming traffic. Not sure what else we can do.

Not true, they shine in the direction they are pointed. Even you admit it by contradicting yourself and saying they are direction (point at the ground).

Default Only intended for off road use.

These light bars are for off road use and not intended for anything on streets.
