Not sure I understand the point. Use the money wisely-is that the bet? Outlaw gambling but a state lottery everywhere?

This MIGHT be in reference to some advertising I saw on television regarding outside entities having gambling facilities in Florida with the possible profits leaving the state? I have not followed up on any details.

Default Let's tax something you don't participate in.

Another comment as to why Florida is turning BLUE. Please, if you love taxes, move back to New York or California. They love people like you.

Agree with you and highly suspect that Seminole Indians and other tribes in Florida are behing these adds. The indians almost have a monopoly on legalized gambling in Fla.

The Indians have had a strangle hold on gambling and use the profits to keep many of there tribes quiet about how they run there operations , the case of chief Billy was one of the only cases to get much publicity maybe because of the enormous amount of money squandered. There is nothing wrong with outside gambling interests it happens every where, in Massachusetts there is a new 2 1/2 billion Wynn casino just across the river from Boston in Everett which has a population of about 35,000 they get a minimum 30 million a year but was 50 million a year for being host city before Covid hit the surrounding towns like Boston receive money also , they also paid for new roads, environmental cleanups , cops and very good jobs , outside casinos would be more beneficial for fl then anything you get from the Indians . FYI business is starting to come back now that they reopened $87 million for august and September I’ll bet there’s a nice tax windfall on that

I did. The OP covered FL. Post 7 covered MA. I excluded NJ and NV. I still covered 46 other states.

You're welcome

One of the few things missing in the Villages is a casino close by. I dont want to drive to Tampa - and the Hard Rocks comps are terrible. Flying to Las Vegas is tough - very few non-stops out of Orlando. I can do a junket out of St Pete to Biloxi or NJ for better MLife comps, but still have 90 min drive to airport.
Come on! If you build it they will come.
