Please don't judge everyone that way. Not all are mean Have a great golf game and enjoy! Life is too short to care about what others say especially people you don't know.

I'm always surprised to meet some of them in person, it usually isn't the same personality that was behind the key board.

Me too. I wonder about a couple on here a lot and wonder if they are the same in person.

I am usually VERY pleasantly surprised, and sorta ashamed that I had made the wrong summary.

Some are the same. They just wear a different face in person.

So....do you think they just get some thrill by being "temporarily" mean? Do they enjoy making others hurt by making nasty comments? Are they in need of attention? Are they alone and have no one to make miserable, so they do it to "strangers" and feel that's ok? It's actually very sad that they feel this need to upset others. They must hurt, and want others to hurt as well. Being happy or sad...or being mean or kind is a decision that one makes when they open their eyes in the morning. One may not have control over how they are feeling physically, but in most cases they can control their attitude and mood for the day. Very often however, the "meanness" comes out after a few drinks. Most are probably good people, just needing others.

Use the ignore feature. I'm finding it saves me a lot of aggravation.

I don't know. I always feel most everything is my fault. I try VERY hard to understand people and that is easier somehow to do in person. For me..

Then sometimes you give someone the benefit of the doubt and you are saddened by their behavior eventually.

Russ, I can understand how you feel as I have been deeply hurt by these kinds of people both here and outside of TOTV. Words can and do hurt! I can feel sorry for some of those people too, but definitely no sympathy and no excuses for a few. That is all for me too, but as for going out and playing golf... I can only wish I could go out and play! Unfortunately, I'd find it quite difficult to even play one hole of miniature golf!

"corny" That's good! lol
She is beautiful. It looks like she's in corn. Thus, my silly comment. The picture made me smile and I sure hope it makes Russ smile too. Thanks for posting it Sprinkler Buddy. She's a doll.

GG, most everything around here is made better by you. I carry your address knowing you are available. Maybe you don't know you are making a difference? You really are. You love.

it's unfortunate, because the people most affected by mean people are generally caring people....as Russ obviously is....good nurses have to have an innate desire to help people
mean people were one of the reasons for the timing of my retirement....I was exposed to so many of them at my work, I began to think the world had only mean, entitled people....coming here has been like a tonic

Some people are miserable and are not happy unless they bring you down too! Misery loves company! I don't like being around them, hard though when they are family.
