Default Tamarind Grove - here I come!

Yeah baby! I signed a contract to build a "Lily" in Tamarind Grove and should be in my new house in less than 3 months!!! I am so excited - thanks to all the great advice on this forum, the process was a '"piece-of-cake": sold my house up North, put my stuff in storage, drove down to TV, rented a home through TheVillages4Rent.com similar to what I planned to buy and in the general area of the newer construction, waited a few weeks then went house shopping once I narrowed down where I wanted to live. Worked out perfectly! I honestly think it's the best decision I ever made, I am so happy here!

Sounds like thanksgiving in your new home or Christmas at the latest. Great way to celebrate the holidays. Does that mean Dec. TOTV luncheon at your new house? Weren't you talking about getting a new salesperson at the luncheon and was that what turned the trick? Bring construction pix to the next lunch or start posting them. Congrats, big time. &
P.S. when Padddock Square opens, ......don't bring your guns to town.

Thanks to all of you for your well wishes, that's why I love you all!

Macro: Yup, you remembered correctly. I went out with a new agent on Saturday, spent the entire day and was confident I had narrowed down the model and location. The new agent was a 360 from who I had earlier in the week, what a difference, whew!! I too thought Thanksg vs Christmas, uhm, thinking Christmas so my family and I can enjoy our first "FLORIDA" Christmas, I bet it's beautifully decorated out here and not covered in that "white stuff that falls out of the sky" up north and turns to ugly yukky slush. (Notice how I am quickly getting biased towards FL??? LOL)

Champion6: Are you guys back home? See you at the mailbox in 2012 when you move down....My lot is #13 on Odessa Circle. THink it's on the opposite side of St Charles from you, not sure.

We leave for home early Saturday morning.

Found it on our map. That looks like a lovely area - so happy for you. You are are correct. We will be west of St. Charles, at the end of Ansley Path on the cul-de-sac.

If you check out some of the albums on TOTV you will see some of the places and how they are decorated to the hilt. I know there are several neighborhoods that almost everyone on the street decorates. Traffic is very heavy with all the people coming to look. I noticed you dodged the question of the Dec TOTV luncheon at your new home. Gotta work on that.

Champ. Don't you mean you're 'leaving home' and heading north for a while?

Right you are, macro. We are heading north to our temporary home and will return to our permanent home in 18 months. That's better... I like the sound of that!

Gardenia, we drove by your lot. What a fantastic location! I hope time flies by for you and you can move in soon.

I have a question. I'm a NASCAR fan and I'm wondering when the Odessa 500 is scheduled? I would like to drive 500 laps around Odessa Circle at about 150 mph. That would be thrilling. Could I do my pit stops at your driveway?

Hilarious Champ6 - you are soooo right, that "big circle" made me a bit nervous but the privacy at the rear of my lot (not to mention the sneak peak of the golf course without paying for a view) and the surrounding golf courses at the entrance drove my decision. Luckily I am closer to the entrance, sure don't plan on going all the way around, you are spot on about the Daytona analogy. I can see myself going around that circle a few times not finding my house in the dark. LOL
