I don't like being stuck at gas stations, where apparently about 3% of all robberies occur.

Great cash flow plan. $50,000 deposit, with no real schedule or price available. Musk is no dummy. He'll have $50M in cash deposits by the end of the year.

This video just made me big fan Tesla’s. Tesla not really good fit form me right now due to my Honda runs too good to replace it. If I move and have garage instead of the carjacker jack I got now, then yes.
His Tesla saves him from possible FELONY charge and prison time due to lying police officer and prosecutors just as bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4Q8q0KQQ14 |

The whole rocket thing will never get through NTSB. The blast that would go to a car or person behind could be lethal. No way they get approval for a car that can effectively jump traffic and perhaps land on someone or something unintended. The fan system that sucks it down to a road is going to suck up rocks, etc. into the intake and trash it. I don't see any insurance company that would insure it. I suspect when it comes to market I predict there will be no rocket anything, no system to suck the car down to a road and drive inverted, etc. Thus the price point may drop.... or bait-and-switch at the same price.

My Tesla model 3 Performance gets about 4 miles per KWH and at my local ChargePoint charger I pay 12 cents per KWH. So that’s 3 cents per Mile. Gas is about $4 a gallon. That’s like 120 MPG if I do my math correctly this early in the morning
My home rate is 14 to 16 cents so that’s a little over 100 MPG. Where MPG is not so high is using Super chargers on a long trip. Last edited by roypw; 10-18-2026 at 06:58 AM. |

Back in Northern MN in the 1960's, that there was a law in the town of Mt. Iron that limited the speed of automobiles in town to (as I recall) eight miles per hour. The "reasoning" behind that was that any speed faster than that would spook the horses which apparently made up the bulk of the road traffic of the time. It may have been enforced back in 1910 or so but it quickly became obsolete, just never had been taken off the books. You can't stuff the genie back into the bottle. People who have abundant of money look for ways to give it to someone else. Those are ones that either inherited it or stole it, people who earned money the hard way usually don’t get caught in scam or money schemes.
