I've had a Chevy Bolt, Tesla 3, Tesla Y and currently Drive 2026 Cadillac Lyriq. Love my Teslas. Love my Cadi more. EV driving is a great experience whether you have FSD or not.
I've had good experiences driving long distances and bad ones.
I used to drive my Bolt from San Jose area to San Diego. 8 hour trip took 10 hours in my Bolt. Never a problem in charging.
I drove my Tesla model 3 2700 miles to Florida and it was a minor nightmare. Ran out of juice in Texas and had to be towed to a charger. The good news is that I just called Tesla and they sent out a tow truck who knew how to handle it. Not all do. The cause was combination of my mismanagement and the fact that Tesla navigation doesn't always know about road construction closures.
Then on the next supercharger there were 8 stations and 7 out of service - with 5 cars waiting. My 87 year old wife gave them the sad eyes and they took pity and let us go in front. The rest of the way was uneventful. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to do it again though.

Lyriq self driving on highways only. And on highways it will do FSD or a lesser mode where it will just stays in lane. It does not work with navigation. It is NOT Tesla FSD. Tesla FSD is great and GM does not pretend to be Tesla. I tried FSD on my Tesla and was impressed but decided to trade it for more comfort and audio.
Off and on on city streets.
It has 2 self-driving modes and lane centering mode. And they sort of work. But it is no Tesla - and I personally am good with that.

If, of any value, HATE is far too common I hate this I hate that. I HATE HATE. I work hare to keep my HATELIST EMPTY. That way if someone makes MY LIST I can give them my full attention.

I have had a 2024 Model 3 Telsa for two years. I love it and I'm totally spoiled with Full Self-Driving. It is worth the up charge and has saved me from a car that ran a red light it is cheaper to operate. Great on long trips and in town. Parks itself, drives itself, is very quiet, and comfortable to ride in. Looks very sporty and the power is awesome. Whats not to love

I agree, FSD saved me in a round-about where a car was in my blind spot and I would have hit him if it weren't for FSD. It saw the car and went around the round-about instead of exiting then exited on the 2nd time.

Neighbor who bought a Tesla (same spec as ours) based on our praise for it, just walked over to relate a recent story: driving on back roads at night, their Tesla suddenly stops. They were shocked to see a deer in the middle of the road. Claims the car/FSD has already saved them thousands at a minimum.

I spoke to him as well and if he was driving, he would have hit the deer because he couldn't see it but the car did and stopped.
