One more solution might be what I use and that is the free Brave browser. It's a Chrome clone (so no learning curve) that most sites don't even know isn't Chrome, however, it natively blocks all sorts of things you don't want.
I think you have to be a little careful of add-ins or extensions that perform this function. They have a habit of being sold to companies who make their living from those ads. Suddenly a helpful extension turns into malware with you even knowing it. The good news is that, when that happens, your browser is likely to know and warn you, however... then you have to find a new one. |
