I think that a lot of us got spoiled by the fact that The Villages grew north to south, and each new area already had the country clubs, town squares, shopping, and rec centers. That model ended south of 44.

Best ? is where any new business will find people to work in this area. There is only farmland and TV in that area.

They will need to compete with new BJ's and other new businesses which are closer to Leesburg, Ocala and other areas which have more un-retired persons.

Seems to me it took a long time before all the stores came to 466A.

I’m disappointed that the McDonalds is going in. What a waste of a good site. I’m glad a gas station/convenience store is going in but much would have preferred a WaWa. I’d like to see a Jersey Mike’s.
A good breakfast place and a good sushi place would be great.
Hoping to see a Target or Wal Mart or both at the corner of Warm Springs and Meggison.

There's a Jersey Mike's going in at Lake Deaton Plaza. Not sure what the franchise distance protections are. But I agree. It would be nice to have one down here.

Sorry, they're HQ'd in Irvine, and are regional only. While we're at it, let's dream for an In&Out since the closest one is in Dallas.

The first time I ever went to a Hooter's with a couple of buddies in Chicago, one buddy asked, "How's the food?" The other buddy (who'd been there before) said, without batting an eye, "Better than it has to be." That pretty much sums up the food there for me.

When we lived "up north", every time we came down to Miami we'd go to Zoo Miami. Close to the entrance was an El Pollo Loco and we always enjoyed the grilled chicken there. Healthy and delicious! Since moving to The Villages, we've had opportunities to go to El Pollo Loco in Orlando and other cities and have found the chicken to be nowhere good as we remembered - just too greasy. Not sure if the standards have gone down or our memory has made the place better than it actually was.

I'd like to see a Salt Water lagoon stocked with Black Marlin just south of Fenney.
