I agree with Chels. The whole "surprise" of the Freeze is that a bunch of random people suddenly stop moving for no apparent reason at all. That is what makes it fun.

In my humble opinion, if we identify ourselves by namecards, signs on our back, tables, etc., I think it spoils the surprise of the Freeze.

that identifying the Freeze before the Freeze would be contradictory to the spirit of the event. NOT A GOOD IDEA to set up a table!!!!! I would hate to see our 2nd Annual Freeze sabotaged.

What if Grand Central Station had set up a table prior to their Freeze? Do you think their surprise would have been as effective? Watch.....

You are absolutely right. I hadn't thought of it that way. I was just hoping to make contact with some of the folks that I read all of the time.

Default Whatcha got here is a failure to communicate

I am not there, and so I guess it is none of my business, but........

It looks like what you got here is a baby/bathwater issue. What's wrong with passing out those TOTV cards after you thaw out?

Boomer (the one who is really freezing up here in Cincinnati)

Boomer, good point about after the event.

I won't be there either but since I had "behind the scenes" involvement last year and remember the excitement leading up to the event, I continue to be protective of the surprise element even in my absence.
