Default Thoughts on retirement and recycling..

RETIREMENT PLANNING FOR 2008

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would
now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00.
With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.
If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would
have $49.00 left.
But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year
ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum
recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink
heavily and recycle. It's called the
401-Keg Plan.

Another tip for all retired (and not retired) TV golfers:

Did you know that in a recent study, it was found that the average American golfer walks about 900 miles a year?

Another study found American golfers drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.

That means, on average, American golfers get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Fumar...please recycle the empties!

This is our second Prius. We bought this years model because it had some features that our old one did not, and that we wanted.

It is amazing - our gas mileage has been as high as 52 mpg, and with gas prices going up, this is one part of our budget that is not rising as rapidly as gas prices.

Once you put down the back seats it is amazing how much stuff you can get into the trunk.

For passengers in the back seat - they have enough leg room so that I do not have to pull my seat forward.

Yes, we are extremely happy with this car.
