I have removed the thread that was posted earlier. It had 603 views in the first three hours on line. There is no sense continuing the discussion because the members have made their feelings well known.

As I said in the original post, we were considering the idea because it had been suggested by a number of members. We are responsive enough to know that it was probably not a good idea.

I sure am glad I'm not in public office. It is not possible to please everybody. Sometimes, it's not possible to please anybody.

Folks, we put a lot of effort in this forum for you. Thousands of hours of time and effort at no charge to you. Give us a little space if we have an idea and it doesn't work out. All we can do is continue to try.

In so far as us planting a bogus thread to "test the waters," that's untrue. We can't remove every post that somebody asks us to remove. Today alone, I have had three requests by members to remove posts by other members.
