Default Tony - Suggested Changes

Tony - In a post in the political forum, you mentioned something about making the political forum selectable. I am not picking on the political forum but ... I have a couple of suggestions:

1. Provide a way we can filter the forums so we only see the forums we want in the new forums. We can go to the list to see the other forums.

2 Put a checkbox in the new forums so we can mark unwanted posts as read so we don't see them on the next time we go to the New Posts unless there is a new posting.

These would be time saving changes.

Or could you just make the font for the political forum red (Please guys, don't jump all over me. It could be green or orange or purple) to differentiate it from the other forums, so sensitive people (or English majors) don't accidentally click on a normal-sounding topic like "writers" thinking it's a literature topic...
But I'm not suggesting that the folks who participate in the political forum aren't normal or sensitive OR English majors... Oh boy. I'm in trouble now.

Even though I rarely post in political, I still like to have the option of seeing the threads under "New Posts". It is my choice if I want to open them up or ignore them.

I don't find political rants offensive. Just passionate people expressing their viewpoints. I just move on if it isn't of interest.

I agree with z, the ability to select what forums you see in the new forums would be a huge benefit..............GN

Put me down as a vote for either of Z's suggestions.
