And of course we know that it is less harmful than alcohol to the individual and the rest of us. Alcohol kills, pot makes people hungry.

There are a bunch of nice folks riding around too in the middle of the night and they are The Village Watch.

Perhaps, you know, they need to know stuff like this, it is important to feel needed.

I have a headache. Don't fight.
There would be no debate if not baited by silly comments that appear to have came right out of refer madness. I don't smoke the stuff, but I know some that do and they are far more caring people to be around than the bourbon crowd. It seems to be so easy to suck up a few drinks and become THE authority on things you know nothing about.
OH. Good morning and hope your headache if gone.

Perhaps if you knew more about it, you would understand that it is a safe recreational drug when com paired to alcohol or red bull.

20 Legal Medical Marijuana States and DC - Medical Marijuana - ProCon.org

I don't see Florida listed as far as medical marijuana being legal....

But amazed at all of these states........including our own, Vermont

Many times when we'd drive down avenues in the city of Denver , we could see leftover hippy types sitting right out on the street with their marijuana for sale.

The more liberal a state gets.....this is what happens.....

I understand why she was surprised......it's not legal in Florida...."if" he was on medical marijuana....or whatever kind.

If you scroll all the way down to the bottom........it goes into detail on each state that does allow it.

Not surprising that florida is lagging behind the country on issues like Marijuana. Us older folks tend to get locked into what was rather that what should be.

The OP was just putting the info out there. I'm glad she did. The smoking guy didn't commit murder, but he sure isn't putting his best effort into the job we pay him to do.

Hence the problem. Legal drug companies make billions on their product. If they do not control it, we tax payers fund criminalization of it, fund prisons to house the offenders etc. It may be the pot that keeps the janitor on the job at minimum wage. And please do not try to compare drinking and driving with smoking and driving.

Yes, yes...it is illegal, but times have changed a great deal about almost everything that I believed in during my youth. We are kinda on a "slippery slope" in our society now. Drug use and sex are glorified on the television and at the movies. Stuff that would have been considered disgraceful 50 years ago is commonplace today. It will be very interesting to watch society over the next decade or two (God willing).
Before we get back to these blanket generalizations about entire generations, remember that was the era of free love and Woodstock. Where drug use and sex were glorified.

Some posters always seem to observe us other posters, rather than thinking of themselves as one of us, some use terms like "old biddies", bring up things like Depends, mention that someone older picked a fight with someone younger at the square and even some took me on for my comments about the "ethical generation".

I say that posters either ARE or ARE NOT senior citizens, and if posters are not, they will be.

And we aren't any of us getting younger, just BETTER.

And some of us LIKE to make blanket generalizations about entire generations. There is the great generation, the wonderful generation, the boomers and the snots.

I have spoken.
