Vice President Mike Pence will travel to Florida on Air Force Two on Thursday for two private functions.

According to the news release from his office in Washington, D.C., Pence first will deliver remarks at a political lunch and participate in a political reception for Rick Scott for Senate, both in Orlando.

Afterward, the Vice President will travel to The Villages, where he will participate in a political dinner reception for Rick Scott for Senate.

The events are not open to the general public.

Scott (R), governor of Florida, will challenge incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson (D) in the general election in November.
