We enjoy drinking a moderately priced 'table wine' with dinner during the week

On the weekends, or when entertaining guests, we like a more upscale wine.

A nice feature with Total Wines is that the staff will post their personal recommendations for all to see....(very much like Barnes & Noble employees posted their favorite read)... we've enjoyed many of their recommendations in the past

Okay, I'll cut loose and give it a try. I pay $4.50 for a bottle of cheap wine. I only like dry white light wines, like Woodbridge Savignon Blanc. How much do I need to pay to not be drinking a cheap wine?

Total Wine has quit e a few bottles that are rated 90 or 91 for $10 to $11. They are very good.

Thanks, but I may need to go more expensive. My $4.50 Woodbridge Sauvignon Blanc is rated 85. I occasionally buy a bottle of Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc for $10-12 to impress people. It is rated at 91, but honestly, I cannot tell the difference.

If you want to be a wine critic, I don't think just liking it is good enough. Hopefully, Total Wine will be able to tell me what I like, especially since I plan to become a non-cheap wine drinker. Because life is too short to drink cheap wine.

I like Kim Crawford SB. In most stores $16 to $17. TW just under $13

They do have wine tastings and a very knowledgeable staff on the floor. They are very good at figuring out what you would enjoy based on your input.
We are not cheap wine drinkers as you say life is too short! We enjoy good Cabs, Chiantis, Red Blends. Dry and smooth!

If you haven't, try some French Burgundy wines. 100% chardonnay. Also Chenin Blanc from the LoIre Valley

Their brochure/ad that came in the mail shows hard liquor as well.

Good competition for ABC/Publix/TV stores.

Will have to check it out after the opening rush.
