I'm good with just one account. You're a funny guy! It was remarkable how fast the response was to my supposed infraction. Makes you wonder who it may be pushing the button or slamming the big GONG like THE GONG SHOW. I have my suspicions. Not that it matters.

The Moderators do a good job and should remain anonymous IMHO as some people get really passionate about things like dog poop on lawns and other such pressing topics.

On the other frequently discussed topic on various threads, the TOTV Political Forum, if ever opened again, really needs a team of moderators and done by people rather familiar with the history of various posters and their interactions with other posters.

We are talking about the Moderators. I agree that the regular posters should not be anonymous in any way or on any place on Talk of the Villages. They should be accountable for their online actions.

They are already held accountable by the Moderators. Why should anyone else have "need to know" status?

My name is Ed Weissenbach, but since that is such a long name I shortened my screen name. I'm happy to put my name on anything I am willing to share on a forum. I have posted on a couple other forums and never knew who the particular moderators were at any given time, but did know who some of them were generally. The original political forum was moderated, but it became such a time consuming headache for the mods that it was finally shut down. Came back mostly unmoderated and became a free for all, in part because of being loosely moderated and in part because of anonymity IMO.
