Post Continuing the education.

I was back in TV for a doctor's appointment this week and we twice encountered drivers who not only didn't understand the proper procedure in a traffic circle, but also took great offense when we followed the rules.

We will always have the ignorant among us.

Alas.....

I know there are left side thinkers and right side thinkers. Not sure which i am. Traffic circles are ssssoooo confusing to me. I feel like when you exit from the inside circle, it is like exiting the interstate from the left lane. Fortunately for me, my husband drives 99% of the time and he seems to get it. GG, the Facebook explanation was excellent. Thanks for sharing. I'm just not smart enough to get it.

I don't get why the Circle from Buena Vista going South gets reduced to one lane for the approach to Old Mill Run. It used to surprise me now I know its there, but for newbies good luck. As far as I know this is the only Circle that does this. As far as warning signs, who has time to read them!

Thanks Gracie, but,

1. This video reminds me of those SexEd movies back in Health class. I was quite naive and didn't quite get them anyway. But did want to practice someday.

2. This guy's voice reminds me also of those Safety films in Shop class. Softly saying, "Don't put your fingers near the drop point of the sheet metal bending machine. This could cause damage to yourself"... sure - like not being good at #1 above for the rest of your life....

3. How did they know I drive a red car???

Thanks so much Gracie for posting this. If we could only get everyone to view this video.

When you are exiting from a roundabout onto a single lane street, it will narrow to one lane so you won't get two vehicles trying to exit into a single lane street. There are several like this. Near the sheriff station on 466, near Turtle mound on Buena Vista, near Evans Prairie, and others.

Those of us who have been on TOTV for sometime realize it is a waste of time to have this discussion. People either get it or they don't . I use my signal frequently at round-a-bouts and

And if you are a new Villager looking for an appropriate vehicle, consider an armored Hummer.

Usually the circle goes down to one lane when the road you would be exiting onto is only one lane going each way.
