When did bald become a hair color? I'll need to ask my stylist at Cal's to skip that one.

Our sons had long ago given him a MI vanity plate that said Vietnam Veteran. The young cop who stopped him went back to his car, called in the DL, found no infractions, came back and gave him a warning, saying Thank you for your service. Please slow down.

As they were driving away, his boss was reading the warning to him: Glasses. Color of eyes: hazel. Hair: bald.
There are a number of license plates that will often get you out of trouble...Ex-POW, Purple Heart, Disabled Vet, and believe it or not, Freemason. There are not a lot of cops who are Freemasons, but there are a lot of judges who are. I have a relative who has played this card several times.

TOTALLY AGREE. There are a lot of Villagers who have no sense of humor regardless of who makes a funny comment.

There is no pee in Lake Sumter. I like Sumter county just the way it is. I haven't run into any smart aleck cops or any other kind. I like Nehemiah Wolfe. He is a good person.

It is spelled SUMTER County. I don't believe the County has prospered because of traffic tickets. Unfortunately the growth of the Villages has also given home to more folks pushing the envelope, rushing everywhere and disregarding traffic laws. Rather than vote in new leaders, maybe we should try to impress on new residents that there are laws here too and they should be obeyed.

He could have said you've got one now Fat Lady!

For those of you so quick to take offense at an officer's harmless comment, remember that same officer might be the one risking his life to save yours.

I think it's safe to say not a single person in here on a daily basis who drives a golf cart doesn't commit a rolling stop infraction .
Including me {GUILTY}

Lets see how long it takes The next 5 post should be from non violators

I'm just wondering how a cop should reply to "I haven't had a ticket if 50 years" Sorry, but I'm with Gracie on this one.

The ticket you have earned his response is totally uncalled for and unprofessional. I would file a complaint I would make the trip to court just to make sure it is noted to the Judge that the officer is unprofessional in his duties and lacks people skills.

Police work is like any other job, no one forced them to take it, risk is part of the job.
