We lost 2 large palms in the hurricane. He came and took the rest of them down, ground the stumps and hauled away all of our debris for us. He did such an awesome job that 3 or 4 of my neighbors called him.

You would have to go pretty far down the botanical chain when calling a palm, grass.

I didn't go into detail because to do so would be boring and not very interesting to most people, but there are huge differences. My comment was for the layman but certainly not for certain "experts" who have a penchant for nit-picking.

And, nowhere did I say a palm had anything in common with an oak.

Just try telling Code Enforcement or ARC that your 30' high, 20" in diameter palm is a grass that you want to remove because you just don't like it, and see what they say . . . . : [/SIZE][/FONT]

Well, my uneducated guess would be that one of your friendly neighbors () would be very happy to call ARC in addition to Code Enforcement to tell them what you did.
And don't be too sure a couple of photos aren't taken.

Secondly, after that happened, you probably could be fined by both of them.
