Common sense says that given the way he feels, that is exactly what he would have done...if it had been the people he had contracted with.

By bringing it to this forum, maybe those who are currently turning a blind eye to the same thing will become a little more proactive and insist that their own tree trimmers fulfill their end of the agreement.

When I do my own trimming of my 10 palm trees (fronds and seed pods), I leave them out at the curb in a neat bundle, then picked up by TV crews. When i have to use a professional, I always make sure he hauls away his trimmings. I can see where this can easily be a problem of abuse.

C'mon, would you really go down the street and tell three burly tree trimmers to haul away their trimmings. Where is the Federal case ?? This particular trimming company is taking an unfair advantage over the other trimmers. Plus is against the rules !!! M & M were made to come out and clean up their mess because of me "complaining" .

Are tree trimmers all disrespectful and would they harm someone? All of them? I would ask them. I am a HUGE fan of blue collar workers. My whole family was blue collar workers. That seems like what you might have done, or pointed it out to the neighbor. Unless you have tension with her or him. Like political differences or something..........

Or just wait until it happens again and report it to ...I guess you could report it to the new president elect.

So you are suggesting that I take the personal authority to tell my neighbor or the trimmers to pick up their yard refuse. Do you stop and tell people by law they are walking on the wrong side of the street, or call out those drivers who violate the law by parking on the wrong side of the street ??

No. I am saying you have two choices; forget it or report it.

Is there a law against commercial businesses dumping their refuse into the street ? I'm sure there is. The cuttings become their refuse after they cut it because their being paid to cut it. It's the cost of doing business they don't want to bear.

I reported it and the Villages refuse company would not pick up the trimmings.

So I buy three toilets at Home Depot and hire someone to install them does it now become his responsibility to bring the old units to the dump? I'm gonna to GUESS the the answer is no because people don't just unload piles of constructuction debris wherever they can get away with it. I don't observe piles of garbage here and there and behind supermarkets and the like. This is the cleanest place we've ever been to outside of our home.
I am learning that things are much different here. There is no way in the world that anyone would ever call on another neighbor's contractor or family member to report a possible violation on any issue back in New Jersey. We had our own lives to live. Now that we are blessed to be in The Villages I am so very grateful that as of today I don't have a neighbor who is spying from behind the curtains to try and catch someone else doing wrong after he just cheated on his taxes. Take a minute make sure your recycling is perfect. Take Care.
Did the neighbor with the crooked contrctor do you dirty in the past? What's the motivation for the call? I'm just trying to understand.
