How right you are ! My brother in law's master plumber designation took YEARS, my uncles' all went through the carpentry apprentice levels that also took years to become cabinet makers and master carpenters. To make things even worse, we (parents, community, school boards) demanded that school stop wasting education time on: home economics, metal shop, drafting, woodworking, auto mechanics, welding classes, and electrical shop class. HOW bright was that decision ? Replace with more "progressive" education. Hummmm ?
