There is no point writing a 10 page list of all the things wrong with the two gender theory because people like you just grab some insignificant exception and run wild with it. I think the answer given in post #2 is the most likely real reason it is still on the form.

TSA ought to be asking for information that either helps them determine if you can be trusted or helps them identify you when you are in the security line. The question certainly doesn't help with the former and allowing the answer to be based on preference rather than physical identity makes the answer useless for the latter.

If the question does not provide any information useful for PreCheck qualifications or identification then it is useless and should be removed.

Sounds like you got your panties in a wad with you reply. So you stated that you wear panties, so you are female?

How can I force you to think or believe anything, as well as making your beliefs illegal? I'm not an omnipotent being with that kind of power. You said you're an atheist, so you don't believe in that sort of thing. You're right that you shouldn't care what I think or believe. You are free to believe in any fantasy that you wish.
