That sounds like the logical answer

IMHO, there's enough going on in the southern area to keep our developer and his resources busy

Has anyone heard for sure?
I heard the Villages bought 15, 000 acres west of us towards Crystal River.
Water supply is better there.

Supposedly the developer has enough land to double the size of this place.

Marion County has several very high end developments built especially for horse owners with lots of 5 to 10 acres. It is a different type of living from what TV provides. I know that one of the developments in Marion is for people who own their own planes and keep them right there on their lot!
And there Marion oaks.

You can now. Have you seen the The Villages properties complete with horse corral (or whatever they call it). We visited the area a couple years ago on a Segway tour. Not a clue as to exactly where it was.

Found it. 2017 Article in "the other news": Villagers who have been waiting to have horses on their property or fresh eggs for breakfast had their wish come true. Chatham Acres, seven five-acre parcels off of SE Highway 42 at a cost for the property starting in the $500,000’s (2017 dollars). Chickens may be permitted if continuously contained within a chicken coop approved by the Developer.

This guy we saw coming out of the drive-up at Chick-Fil-A must be one of the owners.

They are right around the corner from me. 4 of 7 lots are built and 2 of the houses are for sale I believe. The house closest to the cart path has 3 horses that are generally out. These are next door the the new First Responders rec center.

This won't happen. Then it would not be golf cart accessible which is what The Villages is all about.

I tend to doubt it too. But never say never. The developer has a way of overcoming obstacles.
