Our twenty-three year old son came to visit for the first time, his comment:"Please Mom, don't ever sell this house, this place is great!"

Default Yes it is

Let me see. I left the Villages Nov 2nd to get back to work in Indiana. It was 87F the day I left and 44F when I landed in Chicago. This past Friday and Saturday it was 30F with about 5 inches of snow just outside of South Bend.

Yes it's Paradise.

TV has no snow
TV has a pool on every corner, heated in the winter
TV has a recreation center in every village
TV has free live music in at least 10 different places every night
TV has more happy hours then anywhere
TV lets you go everywhere in a golf cart
TV has lots of friendly people
TV is in FL with no state income tax
TV has over 2000 clubs that cover any thing you could possibly want to do
TV has the college of life long learning with courses on everything
TV is very affordable
TV has more golf then any other place in the world
TV is a drinking place with a golf problem
TV is very close to many many great venues
TV weather is almost always great

Find anything anywhere that even comes close, doesn't exist.

Yep, and I go to each one every night!!!!! But.... the best part is,,, I meet many of my fellow TOTV'ers there also. This weekend was the best ....
Friday night, a fantastic show at The American Legion put on by some of the best singers in TV and among the audience were 25 of my friends from TOTV, including
MR & MRS. BOOMER!!! What a fantastic treat that was for me, we all had a great time.

Saturday night, another great music and dancing night with friends and bumping into Honey Bunny & Mouse and Ceafolks......

Saturday afternoon, Craft Fair at LSL, spending the afternoon with dozens of TOTV friends in the beautiful afternoon sun.

So is TV the Paradise? OR ... is it TOTV that's the Paradise?????? Or, is it what you make it..???? Who cares, I'm having a great time, thank you!!!

One of my neighbors described it as your best summer camp ever that you never have to leave.
I love it here...I do what I want, whenever I want....I may be a bit prejudiced but I have absolutely the best neighbors in TV's...and I couldn't imagine having a better area to live.
Is it paradise....it is what you make it. Like stated earlier, there are those who complain about everything from golf, to food, to entertainment....you just have to experience it....enjoy!!

This is a great definition. It's the beauty, entertainment, golf and the limitless amount of things to do to have fun. I aplogize because I don't have time to type all of the 1,000 activities.

One trip to TV on a LSV will go a long way to explain your question and there are not enough words in the english language to describe being in paradise. It's a feeling you get when visiting.

TV is not for anyone who:
1. If you need to live right on the water/oceanfront property.
2. You want to snow ski frequently.
3. You plan on spending retirement by staying in the house.
4. If someone plans on being a grouch, (you will have to look hard to find company.

I can't wait to move to TV.

Of course, neighbor. Don't know where I got that, but it was an expression that my late uncle would probably say. He was a hoot!

My husband and I are lucky to be among the "younger" crowd here at TV. He's 56 and I'm 58, we've been here almost 3 years. I wholeheartedly agree w/the comments made by just about everybody prior to mine!

Add to that the feeling of safety and security. Partially from our great neighbors and how everybody looks out for everyone else, and partly from how TV is structured and maintained. Yes, we have had a couple of "incidents" here....but when you take into account the number of people living here, the percentage of "unpleasant" happenings are so far below anything you'd find outside our "bubble" it's laughable.

This forum is a great example of why this place is so special. With a current population of over 80,000 (and still growing), it a very LARGE town, but still with a very small town atmosphere. I'm always amazed at how well-informed we can be about what's going on in and around TV, with very little effort on our part. I like that.

As others have told you, you just have to come visit to UNDERSTAND why we all love living here so much. It's a magical place. Not perfect, but so much better than anything else you'll find anywhere else in the world!

Hope you'll come visit SOON! We love sharing our good fortune in finding TV with others of like minds!

I was in TV the month of October. It was like bring a kid again. You get up in the morning and go out to play with your friends. Hope to be in TV full time in 2012.

It's addictive.

The more you're hear, the more you see, and the more you experience for yourself - the more you'll know if it's right for you.
