How many would keep the SUV, how many would keep the convertible, and how many would keep both? Assume cost is not an issue. Thanks
My sincere condolences on your loss. Which car did she like, keep that one. I am willing to bet it was the convertible, yes keep the fun car.

Sorry for your loss.

Ditched our second car when we moved here. Than once we got here we traded our car for a crossover SUV. After two years we realized we just weren't going to be "hauling" stuff as much as we did before we moved here and traded the SUV for a sedan.

20-20 hindsight told us we should have just kept the car we moved down here with.

My guess is that you didn't move here so you could move a lot of stuff so keep the convertible...

Will b moving in soon. Which pick up do we get rid of - his or hers ?
We were told - we would be popular with a pick up - everyone will
know who we are and who to ask to move things !!!

Default cars

[QUOTE=JourneyOfLife;1442218]This is mainly targeted at "Full-timer Couples" in TV as well as those in other 55+ communities.

Now that we are retired, we put fewer miles on our cars each year.
COMMENT
Yes, one small car and only use it when we tutor in Lady Lake and the Boys and Girls club teaching etc.
Otherwise, never use it. Take the bus to Airport and fly or bus to the Cape for Cruises.
Have one golf cart, electric, love it. Two bicycles for most everything. Got a small car for the small garage over a year ago, it has about 400 miles on it.
Consider this: To burn one pint of gas, about one pound (and 8 of those to a gallon), it takes 14 pounds of air for combustion, so you get 15 pounds of junk out the exhaust, think about it. Hold your breath in the tunnels?
Have fun folks.

My question:

When you relocated to FL, and began using a Golf Cart for some amount of transportation in the community, did you decide to downsize the number of cars to 1 vehicle?

We sold our northern cars and bought southern cars. Dark grey Subaru Outback for Pearl white Mazda 3, Black Ford F-150 for Bright blue Tacoma, kept the Vette & bought a 4 seater Yamaha.
Unless you lost your drivers license I see no reason to use a golf cart instead of a car 95% of the time.

We have no problems with one car and one cart. Our cart is the Star electric cart with the convertible back seat which we have used fairly often. We put about 250 miles a month on the cart which is now 8 years old.

I am too. You have become a friend to many of us here and I know I am not alone in saying that we care.

I badly miss my basement.

Our home has a two car garage and a golf cart garage.
You put in your tools, gardening stuff etc and it is suddenly tight for a medium sized car and a two seat golf cert.

If, you plan on buying one of the four seat golf carts where all the seats face forward they are almost as large as a car-bigger then some cars.

If, you,"plan," on mowing your own lawn you need room in your garage for the mower.
