As of a quick shower early this morning we now have a total measurement in Springdale on Sherman Street of 4 1/2 inches. YES YES YES!!!!
My grass and gardens have been singing and dancing for two days!

Finally, the rains have started! Prepare the Ark. Those of us who are "away" thank you for the rain updates.

Those of us living here, looking at the golf courses and trying to grow our own grass love the rain.

I can however empathize with anyone on a short visit. I remember one summer years ago when MA desperately needed rain. We took a one week vacation ( I only got two weeks per year) and went away in August to a little cottage on Martha's Vineyard. It rained six days in a row, not showers, but rain. Every weather forecast was the same, "cold front stuck over area, isn't this great as we really need it".

At that moment I could not quite share in the celebration
