My Samsung TV will turn itself on occasionally. There are a number of possible reasons. Google it.

No outside light is required. LED lights will keep it charged. Last edited by retiredguy123; 11-11-2021 at 06:49 AM. |

Our LG does almost the same thing. First thing I tried was settings and looked for auto ON/OFF. Both were set to OFF. TV comes on at various times of day and night. Removing the batteries from the factory remote did not help. It's not connected to a cable box. So when we’re going to be away for a full day I unplug. Lg tech support was no help.

We too have a Samsung TV that randomly turns itself on. Tried everything to figure out why. We just live with it.

someone trying to be funny when a serious response is needed. IMO it is not funny and no I don't take myself too seriously, but I don't think being the class clown all the time is appropriate.
Sometimes a smart arse response is just that.[/QUOTE] 🙄🥴 |

Our LG, the same.
Found that when the batteries in the remote are about gone, the TV will come back on when turned off, the channel guide comes on, etc. Try putting new batteries in the remote. |

happens to me sometimes. I turn it off and it goes off then turns back on. I turn it off again and it sticks.

I had a similar problem, the TV would go off and on repeatedly. A friend suggested pressing the power button on the TV for 30 seconds. It solved the problem.
