Yesterday there were 14 people ahead of me. In and out in 11 minutes. They only allow 4 people at a time, still a little crowded. If you are uncomfortable in the outside elements, just pick another day.

SafeShip can’t take all returns. There’s specific requirements for them to be able to take the item. They have a sign on their counter showing what they can accept. In our case every recent return we’ve had couldn’t go through them.

Hello to all who had this experience. There is another solution to waiting in line or going to Leesburg to drop off Amazon or UPS packages. Safe Ship Magnolia at 2113 Everglades Lane, just south of Rt 44, will glady take UPS and Amazon returns as long as you have a printed bar code label. You can get the label by choosing UPS DROP OFF POINT NOT UPS STORE when you process a return. If you don't have a printer, you can email the store at Magnolia@safeship.com. The employees there will print you label. They are extremely friendly and would be glad to assist you.

In the long run I only order online from outfits that offer return, free or not, service. You print a label online and give it to either usps or ups or fedex drivers to see. Amazon and ebay come to mind.

The Villages office is always busy. Sometimes the line extends to the curb.

You can also take Amazon returns to Kohls. They'll even handle the packaging.

By the time you travel to Leesburg, you could have been in and out!

OK - I give up - I try and post a helpful tip, and I get “snark” and sarcasm form some people back - why do you the time and effort to post such comments? Do you feel better after doing so? I post what I saw and what someone told me at the store - if you disagree there is a way to post without being rude.

Should have been an interesting discussion on the best place to go to ups stuff, sorry some people spoiled it for you.

I attempted to do Amazon returns through the Pinellas UPS store. Tracking always show no updates and a few months later Amazon try’s to reverse the credit since they never received the returns. Happened three times out of five returns. Sloppy inconsistent process that has opportunities for theft. Management too busy to resolve.

I was at that UPS store yesterday, around 2PM and there were about 15 people in front of me when I got in line.

I was back in my car driving away at 2:15PM.

It sounds to me like Michael just had one of "those days" at UPS. Lines will never go any faster than the slowest person ahead of you. You can have 20 people in line, and none of them need anything "special," they're all paying exact change or a "good" credit card, the packaging is perfect, and all is well - and 20 people will be in and out in 25 minutes.

You can also have three people in line, but the guy at the counter had problems sealing his packaging and refuses to leave the line to fix it and wants tape so he can fix it right there. Then he forgets to fill out the form, so the counter clerk has to do it for him. Then he realizes he had the zip code wrong, and has to do it over again. Then the customer complains about the price until he realizes he asked for the wrong type of shipment, and has to fill it all over again - again. Then his credit card wasn't a credit card at all, it was a debit card and he doesn't remember his PIN. So he has to fish out the right card, and has trouble finding it, because he put it in the other pocket when he paid for something at the supermarket an hour ago.

Meanwhile - the line is getting longer and longer and longer, and that one guy behind the customer at the counter has already waited 15 minutes.

Turns out the guy at the back of this new line that exists because the first guy had all these problems, will discover that 3 other people in line ahead of him will need special care - so HIS wait will now be 45 minutes to an hour.

It happens. It's not a daily occurrence, but it does happen.

. There is another UPS store next to Publix on 441 in that mall where Dunkin Donuts is. Also empty 90% of the time.
