The streets in the courtyard villa sections are not owned by the county. They are private roads owned and controlled by The Villages. The CYV deed restrictions prohibit a vehicle owned the homeowner to be parked on the street or in the visitor parking spaces at any time. However, visitors can park on the street. In other sections of The Villages, the streets are owned by the county.

There is nothing more expensive than a cheaply purchased German car.

$3k seems to be the price point for a decent, high mileage beater. Ford Taurus, Chevy Impala, these are what you will see in that range.

Maybe, you can get a cart for that amount; it probably would be in rough shape. I know you can scrap a car for 800 dollars if you can get it to the yard.

Come on...used cars worth driving are going to cost more than that. You want cheap...you get junk.

if you do choose to get a car in that price range, be prepared to pay more than that for any repairs, & after 100,000 i've noticed my cars would need either a new tranny or gaskets, don't do it.

Yea used cars are getting more expensive, just about to the point as they were when they were new. You can just about tell the dealership what you’ll pay for it because personally I think they’re getting desperate. But for gods sake don’t let them talk you into an EV, they’re expensive to buy & expensive to maintain. I have grandson in-law that bought 2 EV’s & he’s a Dr. now he went back to a gasoline auto. Guess some people have find out for themselves!

Oh yeah. He forgot there were walking paths in the Fenway but instead took the Children of the Corn path instead! Don’t wanna get the moderator going by adding specifics to the story!

You live in a lovely home and want an eyesore of what a junky $2K car parked in your driveway would look like? The price puts it just short of the junkyard category. Can’t imagine your neighbors appreciating looking at it all the time either. Buy a more expensive car and finance it for $100 month payment and save yourself the headache of oil spots on your driveway and in your garage.

No, since most get robbed and have the car stolen.

Those "oil spots" give it a high class Dalmatian appearance. Quite hoity and toity, eh wot.
