I think we've been through this a dozen times or more on these threads. According to your interpretation, a cart can never make a left turn, never pass a tricyclist going 3 mph, or a cart going 10 mph. Not true. Best interpretation I've seen is that the solid white line is denoting the right edge of the roadway, and the cart lane does not count as a separate lane of traffic going in the same direction---the law was written for lanes of automotive traffic.

Exactly. I've never been pulled over on Morse for passing a slower cart, bicycle, or walkers in my cart whether police were there or not. I only do it safely and never over 20 mph. I don't know where these theories of cart traffic laws have started.

From the State of Florida Driver's manual addressing what to do when a vehicle is in your lane coming towards you. Sure beats haviong a head on collision because it is not your responsibility.

I don't see the problem with being passed. If I am running at 19mph and someone comes up on me and goes out to pass I'll slow for a second so they can get back into my lane safely. If I'm on a sight seeing bender and I see someone behind me I'll pull off and let them by so I can sight see without guilt. I see no shame in getting passed on either the MMP or the golf cart lanes on the roads. I'm retired, but I know there are folks that need to be somewhere at a certain time.

I have no problem being passed either. It's the reckless and mostly careless method which people use to pass others possibly causing an accident that bothers me. Some of these people have the belief it's others' responsibility to avoid them. I have my radio on and ignore them. It's only when I see blue and red flashly lights I get worried!

chatbrat in all due respect the "solid white line"you reference are the solid wihite lines used in place of double yellow lines ,etc that normally divide a highway in the middle prohibibiting passing on the left.

The solid white line found along diamond lanes only define the space provided (lane) for golf cart use and has nothing to do with passing. the solid white lane is a remainder for auto traffic not to cross

Cannot be correct. If it was, once in the lane, you would have to continue in the same direction until you reached a merge and then you face a double line. And you could never make a left turn into a street or mail station or store. Think of the medical buildings across from Creekside. If you are going west on Old Camp Rd., you couldn't turn in. If you went to the end and turned left, same problem. If you lived in Creekside, you would have to drive along Stillwater all the way around to make a right turn from the lane to enter your own street.
