Is anyone else not getting Verizon Service on their cell phone or has my phone gone bad??? It has said it is searching for service for the last hour or so.

Cool

Service is good in St. Charles....

If you haven't already, reset (reboot) your phone and see if it comes back...

Good Luck!

Our Verizon phones are good in Tamarind Grove. You might try dialing *228 and selecting option 2. This will update your phone's roaming capabilities... takes less than 2 minutes. Good luck!

Network is up and strong, wife is Operations Consultant for Verizon Wireless, suggest rebooting phone, (remove battery) to reactivate radio function, if that does not work, it might be time for a new phone

If the battery is good, what makes a phone stop getting a signal or staying connected during a call?

It is working now. I did have to shut it down and restart. I really wish I got more than 1 or 2 bars here though. When it comes to cell service life was much better up in MD never had less than 4 bars. Never had a dropped call either.
It better not be that I need a new phone becasue I have a new Cosmo2 that is only about 2 months old. (At least I think that is the name)

have you had the roaming reprogrammed since you have come to TV?

dial *228 and select option #2 which will update the roaming capabilities to more local towers.

If that doesn't fix it then call *611 free Verizon customer service access.

I have has Verizon since 1999 and have yet to be in a place where it does not work....best coverage on the market. Yes there will be some area where the reception may be down in strength but so far never "no service".

The other condition here in TV is indoors reception CAN be affected, some times drastically by the steel studding they use in construction here.

Good luck.

Just did my Droid and it appears to work much better. Only time will tell for sure.

Thanks bill

Good Luck!

I am rebooting my wifi box, the link to the internet through Verizon, many times a day. Some times I will have to do it two or three times an hour.... Other times it is good all day.

Hi Gracie...Provide a little more information... Do you have your home WiFi thru Verizon? I wasn't aware that they offered anything like that other than the MiFi units that they sell. You should be rebooting anything as often as you say...

Later..... Mike
