Default Vertical blinds for a 145" sliding door and bird feeders and JCPenneys

Hello my dear helping friends.

We have a very wide meet-in-the-middle sliding door that is 145" wide on our new home in TV. I am trying to find a ready made Vertical blind to save some bucks, but I can't find one that wide. Can you use two blinds that meet in the middle? And if cheapie me has to pay to have a custom one made, can anyone tell me the ball park figure?

I can't remember seeing any Bird Feeders on our trip last week. Are there any allowed?

Is there a JCPenneys at Leesburg or Ocala and also Pier One, any near?? I have relied on them heavily in the past when decorating a bare home and also Linens n Things, that just went bankrupt. Where do you go for curtain rods, waste baskets and stuff to get your houses set up.

Thanking you in advance I remain,

Your giddy-newbie-about to move to THE VILLAGES friend,

GracieGirl

You can have bird feeders, but they must hang from a tree limb or maybe the house eaves. No free standings with a pole holding up the feeder.

There's a Pier One in TV and there are Jacques Claude Penne' stores in both Leesburg and Ocala.

Graciegirl,

There is a JC Penny's at the Lakesquare mall in Leesburg. And yes there is a Pier 1 in the villages shopping center by 441 and also a Linens & Things on 441. Boy, are you in luck!

For the small items like waste baskets, curtain rods, etc. we went to Walmart or Target, saved a little $ that way. Good luck, looks like your all set! ;D

Gracie, I get a lot of wastepaper baskets, odds and ends dishes and stuff like that from TJ Maxx and they're very reasonable. I believe there's a store in the same shopping center as Target on 441.

Good Luck Gracie and family, I'm jealous!!

Gracie, 2 years ago we rented a place that used 2 blinds that met in the middle like you described. It worked beautifully. You just had to open and close them separately.

As far as odds and ends, we love Bealls Outlet. (actually that is the Royal "we" as my husband has been known to roll his eyes at things like my pineapple pillows) Both the one up on 42 and the one near Spanish Springs have home sections. And I think Monday is senior day when you get an extra discount (15% maybe?). Have fun furnishing.
