I'm sure there is a reason they didn't provide a full size parking lot at Putt and Play just don't know what that reason could be.

Honestly, I think they made a mistake. The developer making mistakes is rare, but they do happen.

I walked through it once carrying my golf bag and a golf cart came very close to me as it sped by. That was enough for me.

This discussion reminds me of another good feature about the Fenney area.

My wife and I were walking the Loblolly golf course before it opened and we noticed that walkers (like us) would have to take the MMP from the 6th green to the 7th tee. We figured that would leave us out because no way are we going to push a cart along a MMP.

Later we were in the sales center looking at a model of the area that included the golf courses and it showed they plan to build a new asphalt path from the 6th green to the 7th tee. This path will go between the lake and the houses along Biller Circle and it will be totally separate from the dreaded MMP. We were very pleased to see this plan.

Wife and I walked through to Sandhill and back once. Cursed at, nearly hit by 'cant stop, in a hurry' carts.
Not a plesent experience, apart from the danger.
First time it really brought home to us, that there are plenty of not so nice people in TV.

I guess you didn't see the news article about the guy in Fenney pulling a gun on his neighbor over a dog walking issue.

Be careful, the next time it might be in your village.
Has nothing to do with fact it occurred in Fenney. Just another masked bash.

We first moved into Osceola Hills in May of 2016 when there were a lot of open lots. Several times, we saw people letting their dogs run off leash.

Another time, I saw a guy take his dog to the mail station and let the dog off his leash to relieve himself.

Maybe people who are new to TV are used to areas where leash laws are not enforced. Anyway, if I heard of a guy pulling a gun out during an argument over a dog, I would expect it to be in Fenney.

Get the facts before you post "FAKE NEWS". The guy didn't pull a gun, he showed the gun under his shirt, it was not his neighbor walking a dog, it happened within the dog park in The Village of DeSoto where he got into an argument with another dog owner. Think before you post.

Another post by those who don't know the facts. It did not happen in Fenney, he lived in Fenney, did not pull out a gun, only showed it, and it happened in The Village of DeSoto within their dog park.

I don't sell real estate. I just feel such sympathy for someone who chose to buy in a new area. It must be either jealousy or it could be someone is an MLS agent that isn't allowed to sell new houses. WHY would people keep hammering negativity where people who post on here have chosen to live????

That is unkind at the very least.
Fenney is a pretty place just doesn't feel like The Villages to me more like Del Webb or others.

I think it's beautiful over there but Fenney doesn't have Rec. centers yet, Live entertainment. (down town) Any thing you want to do for a couple or a few yrs. yet you have to at least go to Brownwood. I know it'll take some time yet!

If I hadn't found a perfect CYV in Sanibel I would probably have purchased something north of 466a, simply because that is the area we first fell in love with, and still feel the same way. For people that are not into the original area, or are totally new to TV, I can see why they would be attracted.
We live in the Village of Charlotte area & I couldn't believe it but it's exactly in the middle of TV. 10 miles to the back side of Fenney & 11 1/2 miles to Silver Lake. I was told TV of Charlotte is one of the most desirable areas to live in. If you check it out you won't find hardly a home for sale there. Unfortunately we just listed our house on 11-26-18. We decide to be closer to our family. Actually there's not a bad place in TV to live.

Well, I guessing with all the places people are from, they're are some people that came from places that lived like that. No matter where you move to, you'll have nasty people, no matter if the entrance signs here do say, "Friendliest City in America". Yea, when I first moved here 7 yrs. ago I saw some guy on a cart that had a car stopped out by Apple Bee's just beating the H _ _ _ out of some poor old guy & his wife's car hood. All I could think was, what an A$$. All I could hear was his Eastern Drawl.
