Thanks for saying so well what is on a lot of our minds.

To those who claim it's a "monarchy" or "benevolent dictatorship" in which "we don't have a vote", what the h*ll are these election results for Sumter County from Nov. 2014, for CDD-1, Seat 1 Supervisor and on and on thru all the Villages CDD districts starting on Page 11?

Quit your whining of the downtrodden, or move to Chicago where they run the place so well.

Or go to Sumter Elections Board, and at this link of Elections Results Archived, scroll to 2014 and choose GE14 Official Precinct Summary Report:

I believe the changeover takes place as Florida Law requires it to happen. It's mult-year transition and is regulated....don't think the IRS has anything to do with it.

You are right as usual. So many rumors, innuendos and incorrect perceptions on this thread.

This wonderful town is run differently than the municipality we left. AND most of us like the way it is run. That is the reason we voted to live here by purchasing a home.

And I agree! Please attend the meetings and ask questions before making an authoritative statement. Of course, positive comments and wishes are always welcome.

You may want to explore your claims a bit further. You may want to know why TVLSI pushed so hard to retain Sumter One. You may want to know exactly who the supervisors are that have the real votes that run this community and it economy. You may want to remove the window dressing?

the problem with this discussion has always been too many residents who don't want to be bother. they are retired and so they react to critiques as being criticisms and fail to know the difference. You have others that have this misdirected need to protect TVLSI. It gives one pause.

Hence the shallow response of "if you don't like it move"

I could go on but to what avail because it won't change a thing? and interestingly enough my comments are not offered for change but as a realistic view of this thing we call government and who really runs it

Personal Best Regards:
