O7 I can't wait to meet you although I feel like I already know you. My thoughts are with you on the e8th and during your recovery. Take care, and hope to see you back at the keyboard on Friday.

Thumbs up Results

Just to close the loop on this thread....

I had the total knee replacement surgery on Monday morning... all went well and the Doc's results exceeded my expectations. I had developed a very crooked leg with extremely limited range of motion. He was able to straighten it out (better than the other leg) and got from 0 to 121 degrees range of motion on the table. Now it's my challenge, through therapy and rehab, to match those results.

I came home on Thursday and am pleased and surprised to be in no pain...just stiffness in the joint. I was impressed with the care and service at Leesburg Hospital (although the food was really awful) and now embark on a journey of PT.

I tell you, it was so wonderful to leave that hospital and breathe the warm, wonderful Florida fresh air and see all the lush greenery and blooming flowers. Then, turning into TV and seeing the daily fabric of life here...people playing pickleball, tooling around in golf carts, walking, etc does one's heart and soul good.

So, I thank all of you for your prayers, kind words and thoughts, and warm wishes. Things are looking good.

Merry Christmas to all....

V7

07 glad to hear everything went well. Wish you a speedy recovery. Nonie's ready to break a leg just to come back to TV after reading your note.
Hope to see you soon.

V7 I am happy to hear that you are doing well and have a great positive attitude! It will take time, grit, and lots of physical therapy but you will be hopping around again is a very short time. It has been 8 years ago that I had a total knee replacement and it was a fantastic feeling NOT to have all of the knee pain when you took just a simple walk. Just that will spur you on to keep that therapy going for the next few months. My goal was to ride a bike which does take alot of knee bend and I was on the bike and the golf course in about three months. This is a great place to recover from any surgery with the support of many friends and sunny weather.
See you soon at Crispers!!

Good news!

Will you and Mr 07 be rehabbing together or is he ready to hit the tennis courts again?

Hope to see you on our return to The Villages ---- shoveling sunshine beats snow any day!

Great great new 07. I am so happy you are up and about again and am sure that with your determination you will
get through the rehab and therapy with flying colors and be back on the courts again before you know it.
