What about the blasting at the quarry once a month? That alone would make me move somewhere else.

I would not worry about prisoners escaping! I would be concerned with the nature of the businesses close to my home. If they blast, you will feel it. I lived near a high school field and they can be noisy, players, music, loudspeakers and cheering people. Not for me thanks.

I'm not big on being within eyesight of the High Security Prison. I assume the popularity of Eastport will drive prices higher, may have higher infrastructure bonds, etc. Visit in person, since we chose our location, changed floorplans, etc. after our Lifestyle visit. Seeing and experiencing in person is important. Go around the busier rec centers and assess the noise level, especially the pool and pickle ball areas. Lastly, pay attention to proximately to everything, since you may be in the center of what may become a rental area, and any peace and quiet may be lost if you are too close. Listen to those that are surrounded by renters.

Our son built his home in Middleton during phase 1 and has not complained about anything you are all complaining about. He loves being there and is an awesome area of TV to live.

Why because for years TV residents packed the bleachers cheering home teams. Even if they had zero grandchildren playing. Bands practiced, kids played, we have zero issues with being near schools, or downtown Middleton. It’s not like traffic is 24/7 like a big city, both our boys (St Paul, Louisville) will actually walk instead of driving the traffic). Both went to Middleton sat watching drop offs, bands, practices, enjoyed just being around normal life, and not a bunch of very unhappy grumpy retired people who want zero noise.

I am in Richmond, can still hear the train whistle and wheels couple times a day, but especially at night. Funny I could hear same noise in Caroline (could hear certain bands, Pennacamp, Fernandina.

I am amazed that so many people came from areas that didn’t have traffic, must be why many are so upset with the amount of cars that “Get in their Way”, on the way to grocery, appointments and such.

We lived in an area with farms, lots of lakes, retail and grocery was 1/2 hour away.

Yet my 6.8 mile trek to work could take 11 minutes (emergency call 3am) , or during rush hour up to 45 minutes.

We sat outside on our lot in Richmond (4 streets away from turnpike noise, prior to homes built, we can hear humming of tires, close to the same as BV, but 90% less than backing up to any street in TV.

So before you buy take couple lawn chairs and just sit, if children, music, cars, or cart noise bothers you. Pick something else. Best thing about TV, you can buy, sell, move easily, and make a profit. Average move was 2.5 times, but could be more. We are on our fourth house, have many friends who move every couple years, just to be in the new area.

As far as the Coleman, one does realize prisons are all over the country, yet people live near them, drive by them (sign “don’t pick up hitchhikers), and work at them. Again if you fear being anywhere near where people are behind bars, and a fence, look elsewhere. My guess is if they breakout they will go as fast as they can, heading far away from the fence. Then maybe travel far north TV to grab clothes, and transport. But just my thoughts
i agree-living near Coleman has neither made my life better or worse, it is what it is. what you said about escapees wanting to get as far away as possible brings to mind that george carlin skit he had. & one day maybe the inmates will get golf carts too!

We have a rooster too. Can’t figure out what direction it comes from but makes the day bright and early

We were going to purchase in Moultrie Creek in early 2024 but we chose to go ahead and buy in Lake Denham (closed on 1 December). A few reasons for the change were cheaper Bond and house pricing and not wanting to live in a construction zone for several years. I agree with earlier posting that the area below Monarch Grove, the Wellpoint area will be prime and we were hoping that was where TV was going to start building but they chose to go further south. The area around Eastport and Moultrie Creek will be prime area, but not soon enough for us.

Agree, however, Moultrie Creek would be a great location to purchase a rental property.

Maybe the rooster is at that private property that’s in the middle of Richmond because the owner wouldn’t sell to the developer.

If you are adventurous like some, one can always buy now, then enjoy for a year or two. When that special area comes into play move again. Any house in TV for us has zero attachment issues (didn’t raise kids in it and so on) so on we go.

This is #4 and while we say, it’s the last one…until something comes up that’s better.
