Comedy, the ability to laugh at the foolish thing we and others do, has resulted in a very think skinned, overly sensitive, population that must have a "safe space" to avoid the micro aggression they "might" encounter in life. Again, he/she/they (see what I did there?) did not say ONLY TV... I do believe it's "common knowledge" that this has been going on (nationally) for some time. A reasonable person would surmise that TV is now JOINING those who feel the need to change perfectly acceptable language...
