I saw today that on 07/21 The Magnolia Location of The Villages Golf Cars is moving to Eastport. Are there any active rumors about what might go in that space in Magnolia Plaza? sigh [/QUOTE]

Add this to that rumor mill you live on.
HOOTERS is so excited to announce their second location in The Villages, at the Magnolia Plaza. In between the lunch and dinner shifts the girls will be delivering groceries and prescriptions in a partnership with Publix.
Mr. Hooter, the CEO of Hooters said that the company’s long term plans include taking over the entire Magnolia Plaza. In 2026 the name will be changed to HOOTERS PLAZA.

Hopefully they replace it with more restaurant options

Default Ace Hardware would be good.

I would love to see an ACE hardware close by. I make many trips to the Wildwood store!

The Fifth Ave Streatery, in Mt Dora, is an old gas station that they turned into an outdoor restaurant. You're on a corner of two main streets, (outdoor seating only) but the food was very good. Worth the money!

Maybe Hooters can take the building and provide additional services.

Pretty sure that that commenter was joking. There isn't even a TJ's in metro Ocala which has a population of over 375,000.

It's not set up for a restaurant. It would take millions of dollars and a year or longer for the permitting/buildout to turn it into a restaurant.

Default Restaurant!

PLEASE put in a nice restaurant! I'll even settle for an Applebee's or Longhorn steakhouse if I have to!
Or a good sushi place would be great!!

Since when do they pick up carts? We’ve always had to drive ours to the service dept at Magnolia, and then they gave us a loaner until our cart was ready. Hubby called Magnolia service dept today and got no response so he made a service appt at the Brownwood store. Soonest availability was early August. They confirmed Magnolia is closing.
